About Us

New Netball Club

Wellington Wings is a new netball club based at Wellington Academy Sports Centre in Ludgershall. The club delivers netball coaching sessions for Juniors and Adults, focussing on skill development, fitness and game play.

Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners, back to netballers and experienced players. The sessions are run by a Level 2 Qualified netball coach with over 12 years teaching and coaching experience.

Philosophy

The club’s philosophy is to increase participation in netball in the local area, giving people an opportunity to learn new skills or develop existing skills in the game as well as improve fitness, socialise and have fun. The club doesn’t currently run teams or enter leagues, but this may change as the club develops.

We are delighted to be a registered satellite club.

Wellington Wings netball club is being supported by Wiltshire and Swindon Sport through their Satellite Club Funding programme.

We are very lucky to be one of over 140 clubs in more than 22 sports that have been set up since the programme started in 2013. The funding from Sport England and the National Lottery has enabled the club to be set up from scratch with all new equipment and the support to offer free taster sessions to get the club off the ground. The aim of the programme is to help clubs provide sport for specific target groups, in this case Women and Girls.
